Our Story
The Cupkeeper story started at Ghent University as a student project. Looking at all event and festival waste generated we started thinking… Cardboard waste is unnecessary… It is bad for the environment, the cleaning costs are high and very few times the road to the bar is fast and without any hassle. We thought – what alternatives are there for sustainable events that want an eco-friendly solution to cardboard waste that is functional, modern, and at an affordable price? Most cardboard cup holders are provided by the brewer, but what about a durable solution that could be reused for many years?
We searched far and wide and couldn’t find any options that were functional, modern, sustainable, and available at an affordable price. As a result, we designed the Cupkeeper to comply with the latest event sustainability standards by making a product that is recyclable, easy to use, robust and durable.
